After your free class, if for any reason you are not absolutely happy with our classes and want to leave. Not only can you cancel your chosen program at any time. We’ll refund your last payment upon request. No questions asked.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Safety is our top priority. Our coaches work hard to create a safe and supportive training environment. That said, martial arts not only a contact sport; it is a combat sport. While we do everything we can to prevent injuries, occasional bumps and bruises are a natural part of the learning process. If you have an existing injury, just let your coach know so we can adjust your training accordingly.

No uniform required! We train entirely No-Gi, which means for your first trial classes, you can wear regular gym clothes, like shorts and a T-shirt.

At Team Compton, we believe in keeping things simple, effective, and accessible. Gi training doesn’t really align with our goals for a few reasons: it’s hot, and the grips don’t translate well to self-defense or mixed martial arts.

We still award belts and certificates to celebrate your progress, without the hassle or added cost of a Gi.

Absolutely. Our classes are designed for all fitness and experience levels; from complete beginners to advanced students.

We structure sessions with a mix of technique drills, optional live sparring, and rest rounds to make sure everyone can train at their own pace. If you’re not ready to spar, no problem, just let the coach know and we’ll tailor the session to suit your comfort level.

We only ask new students to book in for their first free trial class, so we can give you a proper introduction to the gym and make sure you’re comfortable.
